A Success Story
On October 24, 2022, Metrolink opened the long-awaited Redlands Passenger Rail Project, also known as Arrow. The 9-mile Arrow connects downtown Redlands to downtown San Bernardino, which is the current end point for the popular Metrolink San Bernardino line. Arrow consists of five stations along the route: San Bernardino – Downtown, San Bernardino – Tippecanoe, Redlands – ESRI, Redlands – Downtown, and Redlands – University. In 2024, Arrow passengers can look forward to the addition of what will be North America’s first hydrogen-powered train – the FLIRT H2 – on the Arrow line. The zero-emission FLIRT H2 will replace the diesel units which were part of the Arrow line’s service debut.
