A Success Story
Exemplifying San Bernardino’s commitment to ensuring its residents have access to affordable housing options, the Housing Authority of the County of San Bernardino (HACSB) and National Community Renaissance (National CORE) opened the Crestview Terrace Community in early 2022. Crestview Terrace provides 184 much-needed affordable and market-rate units to help address the growing housing crisis. This new community was made possible by leveraging Low-Income Housing Tax Credits, the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Rental Assistance Demonstration program, and a unique HUD-approved Moving to Work rent structure. In addition, HACSB stands to receive 99 new Housing Choice Vouchers (HCV) thanks to local efforts to capture a portion of the 19,700 additional HCV recently allocated nationwide by HUD.
